A fine day
It may have started out rainy, but by the time Nicole and I made our way out to Pier Park for a little frisbee flippin' action, the rains had ceased and the sun made occasional appearances. A damn fine day, actually. The temperature was perfect and we didn't get rained on, tho we did get a bit muddy. Good times. The new Montrails held up quite well. Duct taping my orthotics back together also made the shoes much more comfortable. I really need to get new orthotics. Ah well. One of these days.
How did I play? Not well, my friends, not well. Thanks to this new diet my strength was low and did not hold out the entire time. Which to me, is why I played poorly. This may not explain the constant slicing or total lack of directional control...or does it? No matter. It was not a competition! I swear! It was a lovely day with chirping birds, beautiful trees and gorgeous smelling air and great conversation. Good times had by all...two of us.
Of course by the time I got home I was mumbling and incoherent and was like a newborne babe unable to take care if itself. Fortunately Candace was home and cooked me up some lunch which at least revived me enough to speak somewhat clearly about the day.
Why is Salix so skittish today? Maybe I need to grab her and hold her to make her settle down? Yah, that'll work. I don't have the energy. Blast!
Only one more full day to wait. Monday morning I get to leave some blood behind along with this silly diet. I imagine I will be quite the funny sight by the time I get to work. After 3 weeks of this diet (I did not cheat even once! Amazing!) I get to fast for 12 hours and then give up a lot of blood (all sorts of blood tests) and then ride my bike the 3+ miles to work. Hopefully I don't pass out and fall over in a gutter. But if I do, a much better story is involved.
There will be no breaking out of this diet slowly. Oh no. Get ready stomach because I'm going to town!
