Dinner
Tonight we headed down to the beach for a potluck dinner with folks from the different farms in the area. It was a small gathering, maybe 10ish people at its peak. No worries though. A picnic table on the beach was sufficient to hold the bean soup, eggplant stir-fry, guac bowl, and coconuts. Nice friendly people and a warm breeze blowing down from the hills and out into the ocean.
There was a semi-sunset; the sun broke thru the clouds just off the water and the disappeared again before sending a green flash our way. As we munched on our food and made small talk, someone noticed splashes out in the water. Which is how we found ourselves watching several dolphins playing around in the surf as we ate. For our entire meal they breached the surface and splashed down in plain sight.
Yes, it was pretty nice.
